I am a husband, father, educator and geek. I fell in love with education at a young age. Although I didn’t like all my teachers, I wanted to be one. I have always felt the excitement of being in education and I am constantly seeking out ways to improve my craft. Technology has helped me do just that. I have found that my professional evolution (my increased geekiness) is very similar to the current evolution of education.
I have been tenured with three different school districts (Prince George’s County Public Schools. Alexandria City Public Schools and Falls Church City Public Schools) in the Metro area. These experiences have helped me become an change agent. With each district came distinctly different views and direction when it came to Instructional Technology.
My professional goal is to continue to be an instructional leader that guides my colleagues and district leadership towards making the necessary changes to the traditional educational model to help our students have more integrated technology learning experiences.
